Dangers of the Nentir Vale
A wandering monk with no sense of direction. Like none, really.
The son of a farmer whose penchant for wandering off brought him into contact with a traveling monk. Ryoga is not his birth name, but the name given him by the monastery that he’s trained in since age 9. He fights when necessary to survive, but his quest – as assigned to him by the grand master – is to, “Explore the world until no matter where you are, you can find your way home.”
He is a rather light-hearted fellow, and a bit on the naive side. He has skills to help him remain self-sufficient and survive on the road. He does good turns for those in need, but does not meddle in affairs unless asked. Mons are often sought for objectivity and to mediate conflicts. He tries to do so, but tends to follow his gut to a fault.
